Here, have some yuletide motorcycle accident footage, courtesy of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

His account of the crash:

I'm alive, my everything hurts, can't stand up for longer than 10 minutes at a time, doctors said my legs looked like they'd had a meeting with the hell's Angels (something about their talent for maximum trauma without any breaks or visible damage). I remember yelling 'OH SHIT' as the cars in front of me all started smashing into each other as one flew into my path after being body slammed by a BMW. I then flew headlong into it at 50 and couldn't do a thing because of the hail acting like ball bearings. Then I remember total silence, as I sailed through the air for a good couple seconds, ragdolling and thinking 'gee, this hurts, and it's about to hurt even mor- SLAM. Smashed onto the Tarmac on my back and slid down the road for a good while as more mangled cars skidded and span all around me. Scrabbled on my hands and knees out of the road while screaming in agony. Adrenaline allowed me to try to stand twice but collapsed both times. Just dodged a car coming past me out of control. Clawed my way up the central reservation barrier and clung to it for dear life before blacking out and collapsing in the dirt there. Came around instantly again and continued to cry out in agony for a good 2 minutes. Was very lucky an ambulance was passing by and stopped, received treatment almost instantly. Didn't get up after that, all I could see was inches of hail whiting out the ground and the carnage in the corners of my vision. Flashing blue lights, etc. some guy gripping my hand and telling me to stay awake as I kept slipping in and out.

And yet... a few days later, at the recovery yard...

I'm told it fired right up too! Forks are slightly bent, fairing scuffed and a few controls now point in new and exciting directions, but overall the bike is 'kay!

Moral of the story is, if you're planning to attack a hatchback with your face, choose a SuperDuke as your launch weapon.

Merry Christmas, everybody!

It's mostly the understated companies lying deep within European (KTM, Aprilia...) and Japanese who know how to make good bikes.

I can assure you, my screams of agony in that video are legit, my entire body was going FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU in reaction to the double impact of the car, then the ground.
